Montgomery County School Bus Crashes Head On Into Passenger Van: Police

Authorities say that a school bus full of kids is safe after colliding with a passenger van on Wednesday morning.

The van appeared to have crashed head-on with the occupied bus around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the 9600 block of Accord Drive, off River Road, according to a Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson.

Rescue personnel quickly arrived to help after the collision, and evaluated all parties involved, he said.

No injuries appear to have been reported from the school bus, and the driver of the passenger van was reportedly unharmed.

All passengers from the involved bus were transferred onto another bus shortly after the collision.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
